Working at home - a missed opportunity

Just had an opportunity to take a gig working from home full-time. It would have been a tremendous opportunity, but I have a committment at my current eight-week contract, and they needed someone to start right away. A difficult decision, but I guess that's what happens when you take short contracts.

Working from home would be handy. No travel time taken out of your day, and you could work casually supervising projects that need to happen at home. Plus I could justify getting a laptop which would be cool.

Blogging - another needless phenomenon

Despite the apparent pointlessness of blogging, my blog will facilitate my thoughts, and allow me to fantasize that I have friends who might be interested in reading them.

As I work with computers, it also invites a compelling large block of ultra-boring time for me to steal. Coupling blogging with the radio shows available for free from BBC radio 24-7, I'll probably be able to avoid any productive work going forward. Prospective employers might want to take note of this trend.

No doubt there will also be religious content to these meaningless blogs which will involve my musings on the bible and spiritual frustrations which every day renders plentiful for complation.

Just time to also recommend that all my friends open blogs so that I can feel a sense of community, giving a warm fuzzy feeling to the bland white text box into which I time my most intimate thoughts.
